Lead Like a Bulldog Conference
Thursday May 28, 2026 1:00pm - 1:55pm CDT
Limited Capacity seats available
This session is designed for Grades 3–12 teachers, especially those in tested subject areas, who want to increase student ownership of learning through goal setting and data reflection. Participants will learn how student ownership of data can increase motivation, engagement, and academic growth. The session will demonstrate how to structure individual student data folders that help students track their progress and reflect on their learning over time. Teachers will explore multiple types of data that students can monitor, including MAP Growth data such as RIT scores, growth projections, and goal setting, as well as benchmark assessments, unit tests, writing rubric scores, reading progress, and behavior or effort goals. Participants will also practice using short, structured student conferences that guide students in interpreting their data and identifying areas for improvement. By the end of the session, teachers will leave with practical strategies for helping students set realistic, measurable academic goals and will receive ready-to-use templates, charts, and conference tools that can be implemented immediately in a variety of classrooms and content areas.
